Ronaldo A Calonje, MD

I am excited about training as a Sports Medicine Fellow. I was born in Nicaragua and grew up in Miami. My dad is a Pediatrician and my brother German is an OB/GYN. I have a degree in Honors Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training / Exercise & Sports Sciences from the University of Miami & FIU, and graduated from Medical School with Honors in Costa Rica . I did my Residency in Family Medicine in Tallahassee, FL from 2003-2006. I am Board-Certified and have been working in Urgent Care. I obtained Sports Medicine experience in NCAA at FIU 2002, FSU 2004-2006, and various High Schools 2005-2007. I enjoy attending sporting events, US & World History,Art, Travel, and spending time with family & friends. I’m a BIG Fan of the Miami Hurricanes, Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat but I root for all the Chicago teams!

Kara A. Vormittag, MD

I am Sports Medicine Fellow and graduate of Lutheran General Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program. And graduate of Rush Medical College. I am a Chicago land native, having grown up in Park Ridge. I enjoy spending my time outside with my husband and dog and taking advantage of everything this wonderful area has to offer; from the lakefront and the state parks to museums and restaurants.
